Oh, and I forgot to mention that type adantage / stab are barely noticeable, so you don't even realy need to switch or play around types, you can do just fine spamming your strongest move (all nexomons have access to normal moves + 1 element moves, so you can hit a "neutral" move at worst in any case). In the end, only absolute barrier is still useful despite the nerf (and maby a few others which have their nich such as the electric-type skill providing a chance to paralyze when hit), but that's it. Healing skills are also completely worthless by mid-game since damading skills start dealing way more damage than hat they can heal. but then you are wasting 1 turn to cast this buff + 1 turn to use the status skill, while you could have killed the enemy nexomon by casting 2 damage skills.).
